How to solve Mzinchaleft puzzle? ›

&nbsp Face the "first" lever, activate it turn left and activate the "second" lever. Walk through the gate to activate the "third" lever that will be straight ahead of you. Turn around and activate the "second" lever one more time.

You will need the Attunement Sphere to activate the Dwarven Mechanism, which can be obtained from Septimus Signus at Septimus Signus's Outpost which is north of the College of Winterhold.

The ramp leads up to a walkway with an expert-locket gate to the north and an unlocked (but closed) Falmer gate to the south. Behind the Falmer gate is a Falmer, tables with various loot, and a button. Activating the button opens the spike gate. Behind the Expert-locked gate, the path goes left and right.

Grimsever is a unique Glass Sword that can be obtained during the miscellaneous task given by Mjoll the Lioness in Riften. It is located in the dwemer ruins of Mzinchaleft, in its very last part called Mzinchaleft Gatehouse. It is guarded by a Dwemer Centurion.

The Mechanism can only be activated with an Attunement Sphere that can be obtained during the quest "Discerning the Transmundane." Once activated, the Mechanism rotates and unlocks a stairwell beneath it that leads to the ancient Dwemer ruins of Blackreach. These Mechanisms seem to be the only way to access Blackreach.

Great Lift at Mzinchaleft is a Dwarven Ruin located in Northern Skyrim. It's in the mountains South of Mzinchaleft. This entrance / exit is one of the quick way to get to Blackreach. You can only access the lift after opening the gate from inside.

Grimsever is initially a quest item, and as a result, it cannot be sold, disenchanted, or dropped regardless of whether or not the Dragonborn has accepted the related quest when it is picked up. It can, however, be stored in a weapon rack. If Mjoll is a follower, it can be taken back.

Mjoll the Lioness can be found in Riften. She doesn't become available as a companion until at least 14th level so there is no rush to find her.

So yes, she can die if you take her out with you. Mjoll is glitched to be marked as essential (well, the one in my game anyway - she didn't become un-essentialed after her quest was complete). She never dies for me; she always been essential.

Can you get Grimsever without the quest? ›

True enough, Grimsever spawns if you're at or past the level requirement (14) for the quest, even if you haven't taken the quest from Mjoll.

Once the lexicon cube is returned to its stand, "Elder Knowledge" is received, and grants the active effect "Ancient Knowledge." The perk grants a permanent 25% armor bonus when wearing Dwarven Armor and Smithing increases 15% faster.

Travel to Mzinchaleft and continue through the dungeon until you reach the Mzinchaleft Gatehouse. Defeat the Dwemer Centurion and retrieve Grimsever which is right beside it. When you return the sword, Mjoll can now be recruited as a female melee tank follower.

The Great Lift at Mzinchaleft is a Dwarven lift to Blackreach located south of Mzinchaleft. It is a mechanical lift which can only be entered and used after starting the quest Discerning the Transmundane. Inside the lift building is a lever which, when activated, will bring you up from or take you down into Blackreach.

There are seven possible entrances and exits for players to consider when exploring Blackreach. Each of them requires a different method of unlocking, and some can only be unlocked while in Blackreach. Having every entrance open can help players out of tough spots, so it is worth seeking all seven.
